Hot & Bothered: Young people for a cooler planet

Registration is closed for this event

Get Hot & Bothered with us on our Day of Action, including joining the #PeoplesMarch, on Sunday 29th of November.

In Paris this December crucial talks on how to tackle climate change will take place. These talks failed in 2009 and we can’t let it happen again. Our campaigning on the Global Goals showed us that it's the world’s poorest that suffer the most from our inaction, so it’s time to speak up and show that young people are bothered about climate change’s impact.

As the first generation to feel the effects of climate change, we know that taking action on this issue isn’t just about our future anymore. It’s our present. And crucially, scientists are saying that we’re the last generation that can do anything about it.

But there’s a huge unfairness to the world dithering instead of  taking action. Developed countries, more able to afford adapting to a new environment and less dependent on natural resources, are dominating the debate. The world’s poorest are not being heard, despite being impacted the most by a warmer planet.

Earlier this year we told world leaders that as soon as they agree a new set of Global Goals, we’ll be using our #YouthPower to make sure they stick to them. Well, we’re not wasting any time. So join us and speak up for a #CoolerPlanet. Together we can have our voices heard.
